Birds of a feather may or may not flock together, but it’s a lot more fun when they do it with a camera nearby.
Just ask New Hampshire Public Television producer Phil Vaughn. He and videographer Steve Giordani recently won a New England Emmy award for the documentary “Journey of the Broad-Winged Hawk,” which followed these raptors on their 4,500-mile migration from New Hampshire to Ecuador. NHPTV recently announced that he’s taking a similar long-distance look at songbirds.
