Keene High School film students take gold at 2014 SkillsUSA National Convention


On June 27, 2014, Zach Gavin and Andrew Skahan took home gold medals in Digital Cinema Productions at the 50th annual SkillsUSA National Convention in Kansas City. This was the first year that New Hampshire competed in this contest. Laina Barakat of the Monadnock International Film Festival helped organize the state contest this year. Gavin is a recent graduate of Keene High School and the Cheshire Career Center's Television and Film Program, and has been a past participant of the New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival. He will be attending Full Sail University in the fall to study filmmaking. Skahan is a junior at Keene High School and will be continuing in the CCC TV and Film program next year.
