Making Media Now
is a full-day conference for media makers of every skill level organized by Filmmakers Collaborative. Held this year on the beautiful Waltham, MA campus of Bentley College, Making Media Now 2008 will continue its tradition of providing the New England film and video community with the latest information and case studies around the art and business of filmmaking, access to leading national industry experts, demonstrations of cutting-edge products from film and media companies at our trade show, and networking with colleagues from around the region.

Our panels will feature topics such as:

  • New Models for Documentary and Feature Film Financing
  • Story Structure and Perfecting your Pitch
  • Animation and Film Scoring Techniques
  • A Pitch Session with national television executives
  • And more!

Making Media Now 2008 will also offer one-on-one consultations to attendees on tax credits, story structure, legal issues, fundraising trailers, and advice from national public television programmers. A luncheon with a keynote speaker is included in the cost.

Early bird registration through April 25th is $99. Between April 26th and May 9th the cost is $125; and after May 9th, the fee is $150. We have a discounted rate for students with valid IDs. Registration and more information are available now at
