Heartwood Media promotes local farms and local food with "Our Food, Our Farms" film

[From Heartwood Media:]

Heartwood Media, an award-winning video, TV, and multi-media production company based in Manchester, NH, decided it was time to put its energy to something that it holds dear, the vanishing farms and the food they produce. Aficionados of cooking and homegrown food, it’s a passion of Heartwood’s to promote local food and the people and farms that produce it. Heartwood’s Our Food, Our Farms project shares stories about local food and farms in New Hampshire and illustrates the importance they have in our lives.

Farms and food that have been highlighted so far include:

• Middle Branch Farm, CSA, New Boston, NH
• Lost Nation Orchard, Apple Grower Michael Phillips, Groveton, NH
• Boggy Meadow Farm, Raw Milk Cheese, Keene, NH
• Green Ledge Farm, Grass-fed beef, Francestown, NH

A compilation of the videos was awarded an Honorable Mention and shown at the recent Farm & Food Short Film Festival held at Brattleboro, VT’s Strolling of the Heifers event in early June.

Videos can be seen on the Our Food Our Farms’ Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/ourfoodourfarms. Heartwood will continue to produce videos with a local food/local farm focus in the coming year.
