FILM FOR FRIENDS short films screening and can drive Nov. 17

[From Mike Place at Wicked Sick Films.]

Three New Hampshire filmmakers BANDED LIGHT PICTURES, WAX IDIOTICAL FILMS and WICKED SICK FILMS proudly present “Films for Friends” Can Drive.

“Three of New Hampshire's best independent filmmakers will be showing some of their favorite material including the recent National Film Challenge short films, shot on October 21st through 24th of this year.” –Adam Volkmann (Manchester) of Banded Light Pictures.

“The National Film Challenge has teams from around the world race to complete a short film, from start to finish, within 72 hours. On Friday night, a genre, character, prop and line of dialog is distributed through the National Film Challenge website. Teams then have until Monday to have their finished films postmarked and mailed to the NFC headquarters. The winning films will be shown at the Taos Shortz Film Fest in New Mexico.” –Mike Place (Concord) of Wicked Sick Films

“Films for Friends” Can Drive and Red River Theatres are dedicated to supporting local charities and will be holding a canned food drive during the performance. The audience is asked to please bring any canned goods, non-perishables, and other goods to help the families of Manchester, Concord, and Southern NH have a full and joyous Thanksgiving.

Come join us for a night of fun. All are welcome! Please bring family and friends for this wonderful celebration of great Granite State creativity. Meet some cool people, make some new friends and help a noble cause.
