NH's John Gfroerer to screen doc on NH Presidential Primary Jan 2 & 3

[From John Gfroerer at Accompany in Concord, NH:]

Join us for a showing of
"The Premier Primary"
A History of the New Hampshire Primary from 1916 to 2000
at the Red River Theatres

Just wanted to let you know that "The Premier Primary" a documentary history of the New Hampshire Presidential Primary will be shown at the Red River Theatres in Concord next week. This will provide a unique opportunity to take in a little history before living the next chapter of that history. Additional, the Tuesday night showing will be supplemented with updates from that nights Iowa Caucuses.

This documentary is the only comprehensive history of the Primary, and it is told from a New Hampshire perspective. Old newsreels, news films, photos, campaign literature and nearly 50 hours of interviews with behind the scene players bring the story or each primary to life. Those interviewed include Governors Hugh Gregg, Lane Dwinell, Walter Peterson, John Sununu, and Jeanne Shaheen, Senators Tom McIntyre, Warren Rudman, Judd Gregg, New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner, and many more New Hampshire political figures.

The 2 1/2 hour documentary, first produced in 1987 and updated in 2002 with funding from the New Hampshire Political Library, was produced by John Gfroerer of Accompany Video Production in Concord., NH. John will introduced the documentary at each showing--and he will hang around for questions after the showing.

Hope you can make it for one of the showings. And please pass the word around to others you know who might be interested.
