Caltalfo's ROCKETSHIP to screen at Mill Valley and Rhode Island film fests

[We received an update from New Hampshire filmmaker Alfred Thomas Catalfo with recent news about his short film ROCKETSHIP. We thought we would pass that news along to you. Congrats, Freddie!]

Our short film ROCKETSHIP is an Official Selection of the 36th Mill Valley Film Festival sponsored by the California Film Institute.  The festival will take place Oct. 3-13 in San Francisco's Bay Area.  Last year's MVFF guests included Bradley Cooper, Dustin Hoffman, and directors Ang Lee and David O. Russell.  The California Film Institute Education Director said they are programming very few shorts but that "We love Rocketship!"
ROCKETSHIP is an Official Selection of the 17th Rhode Island International Film Festival, an Academy Award-qualifying festival for Best Live Action Short Film, August  6-11.  I'll also be accepting the award as Grand Prize Winner of the Rhode Island International Film Festival Screenplay Competition for my feature script BETRAYED at RIIFF's opening night gala on August 6.
ROCKETSHIP was previously named one of the 20 Must See Films at the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival out of 345 films (180 features and 165 shorts) screened over twelve days.  The review said "It's magical. It's epic. The little boy who plays the lead is fantastic."  ROCKETSHIP won the Jury Award for NH Film of the Year at the New Hampshire Film Festival.
