I Have a Dream Video Contest for students K-12

[Received this neat opportunity from the New Hampshire Dept. of Education.]

What Inspires Youths? I Have a Dream Video Contest for Students K-12

What – and who – inspires and motivates youths? For many people, Dr. Martin Luther King’s iconic "I Have a Dream” speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963 provided the inspiration to consider wide possibilities and to dream of a better world.

Students in grades K – 12 are invited to create an informal 30 - 60 second video that describes what Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream, life, work, or words means to them. Winning entries will be posted online and may be aired on New Hampshire Public Television (NHPTV).

The video can be created with a mobile phone, tablet, flip camera, or video camera. This is a great project for families and social studies classrooms.

Encourage someone in your world to document their own dream and share it with people all over the Granite State!

In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, NHPTV and Citizens Bank Foundation are sponsoring this I Have a Dream Video Contest, which ends March 20, 2014. Details:
