Keene High School student selected as finalist in White House Film Festival

[Exciting news from Jeremy VanDerKern at the TV & Film Program at the Cheshire Career Center at Keene High School. Zach Gavin is also a past participant of our annual High School Short Film Festival!]

I am pleased to announce that Keene High School senior Zach Gavin is heading to the White House to meet the President.

His video "Technology Dreams" was selected as a finalist, and he gets to attend the Student Film Festival at the White House on February 28th and be there as his work is shown to President Obama.  There were 2,000+ entries from around the country and only a handful of students were selected.  A contest winner will be announced at the event.

This film contest was suggested by School Board Chair, Chris Coates, and was a part of the curriculum for the Cheshire Career Center's Digital Filmmaking class.
Special thanks to Mrs. Antosiewicz, Mr. Brady, senior Noah Lorette, and preschooler Ronan Caffrey for starring in this film.

If you would like to see the film, it is available at: http://www.vimeo.com/85229369
